Montefalco, Fonte Sala

While we here in 2022 we declared we are returning next year. For 2023 we return to this beautiful grand house not far from the town of Montefalco. We had to pinch ourselves while we were here.

In 1913, Camillo Montalcini purchased the Fonte Sala farm and 12 hectares of fields. It remained a far until the 1990s. But in 1997 the decision was made to convert the farm to a residence. Francesco took on the work, which lasted five years and added two seperate houyses to the large main building as well as a swimming pool.

The main house has two apartments. The Torre and Bacco. We stayed in the Bacco and loved it. The apartment was on two floors, with the kitchen with two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor, and the living, dinning and bedrooms on the top floor. It was grand.

There are three other aparttmetns: Zefiro, Ginestra and Lavana in seperate buildings on the grounds. From just walking by they all looked beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

It is about a 5-10 minute drive to the beautiful town of Montefalco. The landscape surrounding Fonte Sala is simply unforgetable.
